General Rules
- Behavior
- Discrimination
- There is to be no descrimination against people of other races, religions, sexes, sexual orientations, nationality, age, or disablility. Violation of this will result in a severe repremand and automatic placement on probation. Further violations will result in punishment that is defined by the leaders, which may include suspension, demotion, or discharge from the faction.(See section III Punishments for more detail
- Demeanor
- Demeanor Towards Faction Members
- Your demeanor towards fellow faction members should always be positive. Having a bad demeanor can disrupt the activities of the faction and make the other faction members uneasy. It can also cast a shadow on the appearance of the faction if there are petty squabblings during events. If you are unable to resolve this problem, please report it to your next highest ranking member in the faction. Failure to resolve problems which have negative effects on the other members or the faction in general may result in the suspension of both parties until the issues have been resolved. If issues have not been resolved in a reasonable amount of time, one or both parties will be discharged from the faction.
- Demeanor Towards Other factions
- Other factions will not have the same ethical standards of conduct as our faction, and some may not have any charter or set of rules to go by at all. If you have a problem with another faction, DO NOT take it upon yourself to resolve. Unless you are the appointed ambassador or a high-ranking leader of the faction, let us handle any problems, as we know how to properly negotiate with other factions, and having someone go off at another faction may result in negative consequences that we would have to clean up, or may even result in irreperable damage to our standing with other factions. If you have had any problems with a faction, please report it to your captain. This will allow for us to properly handle the problem so that there are no diplomatic disasters.
- Behavior Inside the Matrix
- When speaking outside of faction chat and while performing missions and other tasks inside the matrix, please act appropriate for the situation. If you are at an event, it is generally a good idea to be serious and professional. If you are at a nightclub, it is generally appropriate to act unprofessional and loose. Please use your judgment as to how to act in public, since the people you meet may not have encountered any other members of the faction, and first impressions are paramount.
- Roleplaying
- this faction is a semi-roleplaying faction. This means that you should remain in-character as much as possible, but you do have some flexibility to go out of character. When behaving in-character, please ignore out of character comments and respond to them with /tells.
- Organization
- Chain of Command
In the event that the faction leader is not present, the command goes to the next captain of the next available tier. If the captain of a crew in Tier 1 is available, that captain is in command. If the first tier does not have any captains online, the command goes to the first listed first mate of that tier. If the tier does not have any active captains or first mates, the command jumps to the next tier and the first available captain is the commander. If there is no available captain, then the first available first mate of that tier becomes the commanding officer. This process continues until a commander is selected. If a captain or a first mate of a higher tier comes online, then they automatically assume command.
- Orders
- Truce
- The Truce is of utmost importance. Under no circumstances are you to attack a soldier of Zion unless it is one of the following circumstances:
- The action is taken inside of a construct

- Another machinist was attacked first.
- The person being attacked is an NPC
- You were ordered by an Agent (Agent_Gray, Agent_Skinner, ect.)

disciplinary actions, which may include standard or dishonorable discharges, depending on the circumstances.
- Orders from Agents
- Orders given by agents of the matrix (Agent_Gray, Agent_Skinner, the Archetect, ect.) are of utmost importance and should be carried out immediately, no matter what the orders are. If you object to the orders asked to you, please notify your captain or a faction leader and you will be exempt from the orders and your objection will be noted.
- Requests from Organization Leaders
- In the event an organizational leader from another faction (Niobe for Zion, Flood for Merovingian, ect.) contacts you and requests you do something, please consult with a faction leader before proceeding. Reasonable requests that do not conflict with our interests may be granted.
- General Orders
- Obey Orders from Agents
